UMAT Test Overview
As previously mentioned, UMAT is divided into three sections
to assess the UMAT candidate’s problem solving, analytical,
critical, interaction and non-verbal reasoning skills.
UMAT Section One: Logical
Reasoning and Problem Solving — Consists of 44 questions,
65 minutes
UMAT Section Two: Interaction
Skills — Consists of 36 questions, 45 minutes
UMAT Section Three: Non-Verbal
Reasoning — Consists of 30 questions, 40 minutes
As mentioned above, UMAT does not aim to examine any curriculum-based
knowledge. All questions are examined in multiple-choice format,
however the question itself may take form in a dialogue, a short
passage, a graph to be interpreted or a diagram. All questions
in the UMAT are of equal value, except for the trial UMAT questions
which are not counted towards the UMAT candidate’s final
score.
